Tanzanya’da Kuşları Taşa Ceviren Göl

İnanılmaz ama gerçek. Fotoğrafçı Nick Brandt‘ın keşfettiği ve fotoğrafladığı bu göl, çevresindeki hayvanları taşa çevirmiş.
Bu kuş ve yarasaları Kuzey Tanzanya’da Lake Natron’un kıyısına vurmuş halde buldum. Kesin ölüm nedenlerini kimse tam olarak bilmiyor, ama görünen o ki gölün yüzeyinin aşırı yansımaya neden olan yapısı kafalarını karıştırıyor ve tıpkı cam levhaya çarpan kuşlar gibi göle çarpıyorlar.

Suyun çok yüksek bir mineral ve tuz yoğunluğu var, o kadar yüksek ki Kodak film kutularımdaki mürekkebi bir kaç saniyede emebilir. Bu mineral ve tuz hayvanların ani kireçlenmesine neden oluyor ve o halleriyle kalıyorlar, sanki taştan yapılmış gibi. Kıyıda bulduğum bu hayvanları aldım ve yaşarkenki pozisyonlarına taşıyarak onları “hayat”a döndürdüm.

Unbelievable but true. Photographer Nick Brandt photographs that explore the lake and surrounding animals turned to stone.

Brandt said conveys observations:

I found this bird and bat hit to Lake Natron in northern Tanzania in the coastal state. The exact cause of death, nobody knows exactly, but it seems that the structure causing excessive reflection in the lake's surface and just confuse birds hitting the lake as glass plates are crashing.

Water has a very high concentration of minerals and salts, it is so high that my ink Kodak film box can absorb in a few seconds. This mineral and salt causes the animals and that they are staying with a sudden case of arthritis, as if made of stone. By moving these animals to the bottom position and now is living on the shore I found them "life" a twirl.
